Giving Everyday Can Change Lives

Giving Tuesday, the global holiday encouraging others to spread kindness, is observed every year on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. It was started by the Giving Tuesday nonprofit organization in 2012. The holiday is celebrated worldwide in over 85 countries, according to the organization.

Giving Tuesday has come and gone. What does this mean? Many people believe that GivingTuesday is the only day of the year that organizations solicit monetary donations or volunteering opportunities. Not quite!  We deeply appreciate that there is a day that focuses on non-profits, our NEEDS are ongoing.

Below is a small example of year around “items” that help those less fortunate:
  1. First and foremost, your time to volunteer
  2. Donations of toiletries
  3. All types of clothes
  4. Bedding
  5. Non-perishable food
  6. School supplies
  7. Educational books and toys
  8. Sports equipment
  9. Computer equipment (not smartphones)
  10. Money-no amount is too small

Generosity is what brings people of all races, faiths, and political views together across the globe. Generosity gives everyone the power to make a positive change in the lives of others and it is a fundamental value anyone can act on.

People can show their generosity in a variety of ways—whether it’s helping a neighbor, advocating for an issue, sharing a skill, or giving to causes, everyone has something to give and every act of generosity counts.

Love You, Kid is dedicated to improving the lives of children. We believe that giving every day to those less fortunate makes a remarkable positive difference.

Have a healthy, happy and safe Holiday season. May 2025 be your best year ever!
